Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I have recently relocated to Berlin and offer counselling in English.
Initially I studied English Literature, and graduated with an MA from University College Dublin. Following this, I trained for three years with the Tivoli Institute, obtaining a diploma in Psychotherapy.
I trained in Integrative and Humanistic psychotherapy, working with Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Person-Centred approaches. I view myself as a facilitator in your process of self-awareness and the therapeutic relationship is a central part of my work. I like to create a supportive and safe space, working closely with you to explore and understand the issues underlying how you are feeling.
I have worked in several therapy clinics in Dublin including the Tivoli Institute, Monkstown Therapy Centre, Insight Matters, and most recently at the multidisciplinary Hanover Medical Centre in Dublin city centre, where I worked with a large and varied client group.
I am an accredited member of Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy and The Irish Council for Psychotherapy and work within their Code of Ethics and Practice.
Issues I work with include:
- times of transition
- low self-esteem
- negative self-image
- personal growth and development
